Medicare & Prescription Drug Plans

At age 65, you are usually eligible to switch to Medicare parts A & B. Medicare covers about 80% of your healthcare costs. What about the other 20%?

This gap may be filled by a supplemental insurance, namely a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medigap Supplement. These two categories of products are offered by numerous providers such as Blue Cross, Select Health, United Health, Aetna, Regence, Pacific Source, and Molina. Each option offers its unique way of covering the 20% of costs Medicare doesn't cover, either by putting major health care coverage as the priority or prioritizing lower monthly costs and adding extra benefits instead. Let us review options with you so you can choose the coverage that suits you best.

Ignore the endless calls and mail you get about Medicare - you don't have to sort through it alone!

Prescription Drug Plans, or PDPs, can be purchased separately or are available as part of a Medicare Advantage plan. Timely enrollment in a PDP is important to avoid later fees or penalties. Visit our Medicare Basics page for more information.
